On Thursday 25th September, DRS took part of National Manufacturing Day 2025, joining manufacturers across the UK in showcasing the innovation, skill, and career opportunities within the sector.
National Manufacturing Day is a chance for local companies to open their doors to the community, giving schools, colleges, and anyone considering a career change the opportunity to see the range of roles and opportunities available in the UK’s thriving manufacturing industry. With over 2.5 million people employed across the sector, and billions contributed to the economy each year, the UK continues to lead globally in innovation and quality.
DRS welcomed two groups of visitors for guided tours of our factory and showroom. The factory tour allowed the groups to see the different processes and skill that go into creating our products. As well as seeing demonstrations participants had the opportunity to have a go. The tours also included time in our showroom, where guests could explore our extensive product range, giving them the opportunity to see the finished products.
“We’re delighted to take part in this year’s National Manufacturing Day and give people the opportunity to see what we do,” said Paul Redman, Operations Director “It’s a chance to demonstrate the skill, precision, and innovation that goes into every one of our products – and hopefully inspire people to consider manufacturing as a career choice.”
