We are looking for reliable and motivated staff with attention to detail to join our busy team. This is a busy environment and commitment to work is essential

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing high quality aluminium products
  • Operating machinery and hand tools
  • Adhere to strict health and safety policies and procedures
  • Multi skilling
  • Maintaining high levels of housekeeping at all times within the factory

Experience preferred but training will be given for the right candidate.

Our current shift is 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday

Alternate shift pattern may be required (6.00am – 2.00pm / 10.00am – 6.00pm) during busy periods

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: from £12.21 per hour

Job Overview

We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality aluminium windows, doors and roof lanterns to the trade and are seeking a skilled and experienced Elumatec Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating an Elumatec Double Mitre Saw within the fenestration industry. This role requires attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Saw Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are cut accurately and efficiently according to production specifications.

Duties

  • Operate Elumatec DG244 Double Mitre Saw: Set up, adjust and operate the saw to cut materials to specified dimensions and angles
  • Material Handling: Pick, inspect and prepare materials for cutting. Load and unload materials onto the saw, ensuring proper alignment and secure positioning
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Check measurements for accuracy before and after cutting
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the saw to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and processes to maintain a safe working environment
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records
  • Working Together: Work closely with other Saw Operators and the Production Team Leaders to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 years’ proven experience as a Saw Operator and specific experience using an Elumatec Double Mitre saw preferred
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting information, measurements and specifications – basic maths skills are necessary for accurate measurement and calculations
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the fenestration industry
  • Attention to Detail: Must have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accuracy
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move aluminium profiles and stand for extended periods
  • Safety: Knowledge of Health & Safety processes and a commitment to working safely
  • Communication: Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team, demonstrating good communication skills with all personnel. Ability to follow instruction

This role requires ability to work under pressure and to deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ability to lift and carry to receive goods in and out and an understanding of stock control. The Stores Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring that materials are accurately picked in preparation for each job and sufficient stock levels maintained.

Duties

  • Organise and maintain stores to support ease of counting, stock control and stock rotation
  • Maintain zoned areas for ease of locating stock
  • Maintain stock levels and identify and report low stock
  • Receive and check stock in and out, updating stock levels accurately
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and processes to maintain a safe working environment
  • Complete stock takes daily/weekly/monthly as needed
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records
  • Working Together: Work closely with other Saw Operators and the Production Team Leaders to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders

Job Description

We require a Technical Estimator to join our dynamic sales team. If you have an eye for detail, a technical mindset, excellent computer and customer service skills and a passion for delivering top-quality solutions, we want to hear from you!

You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate pricing and technical assessments for our products. Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking a technical review of enquiries, considering:

  • Thermal and structural needs
  • Appropriate Building Regulations compliance (Parts B, F, K, L, M, Q)
  • Customer specification & design requirements
  • The product selection, any glazing and panel choices

Providing an accurate quotation based on customer needs, to include:

  • Scheduling doors, windows and roof lanterns for pricing
  • Processing quotations using pricing software
  • Compiling and submitting accurate quotations, order confirmations
  • Deal with customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • Following up with customers to maximise sales

Experience preferred but training will be given for the right candidate.

Working Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Thursday. 8.00am – 4.30pm Friday

  • Must have an eye for detail and precise application
  • Maintaining high levels of housekeeping at all times within the factory

Experience preferred but training will be given for the right candidate.
